I have posted diaries/ideas/thoughts/blogs etc. on about 7 or 8 websites since the late 1990's but blog.co.uk gets my vote as the friendliest and best for rapid feedback - feedback is essential to blog writers as it encourages them to write more... and more 'universally'.

You're quite right it is one of the friendliest and has some nice features to encourage a community feeling. It seems to attract nice people too. Pity it is so poor technically.
