Is there a 'right' and 'wrong' in Science?

(Well, yes, I know there is in 'the ethics of science' = 'metascience')

Also, there's a right and wrong way of doing Science - i.e. technically speaking the manner in which experiments are initiated.

But, in short, Science is not about 'right' and 'wrong' it is about being able to accurately predict things such as the boiling point of water and how long it takes for a book to fall to the ground from a height of 100 feet.

Why shoulder the World's problems? - surely better to concentrate on meeting ladies with brains and personality rather than looks or think of others - like our near neighbour who is in hospital after being mauled by a dog on Monday and has learned he will lose a finger and need plastic surgery after he suffered more than a dozen serious bite wounds to his hands and arms.
