Just in case I haven't packed everything for my three week break in Scotland, do Bolgers have any last minute suggestions of things that I should pack?

Still Life - Flowers
@ 26 Jul. 2009 – 23.16:55
Mr B discovered a painting by my aunt on eBay. I've just bought it. It's a still life of flowers in a vase.

The State of the Garden etc.
@ 26 Jul. 2009 – 16.37:43
I'm eating up empty space.
Which means I am waiting to go away to Edinburgh and enjoy the Festival again. In the meantime I have literally one or two things to do and this morning (if you call 12 to 2 the morning) I watched Garden State on PVR again. This is fast turning into my favourite film although it has received some severe panning by a few people who seem to hate it on IMDb (and perhaps elsewhere).

The bigger picture etc.
@ 25 Jul. 2009 – 00.37:39
Someone asked me this evening if I ever 'got' the bigger picture. I answered yes, that occasionally for a few fleeting moments I do get the bigger picture from time to time.
Having said that, you are probably now expecting to read a major flash of inspiration unravelling one of life's knotty questions.
Just call it a "why the sky is blue" moment.

Wasp, Glasses & Garlic
@ 23 Jul. 2009 – 23.53:19
Today I killed a wasp with wasp spray.
Other achievements included picking up 2-for-1 designer glasses from Specsavers. Mr B's comment "they look the same as your old glasses".
Visited Edgware's premier Chinese Restaurant and managed to keep the vegetarian theme going from yesterday by ordering garlic spinach and an aubergine dish.
I've started a novel called 'Engleby' by Sebastian Faulks quite gripping stuff but will I still be recommending it after I've finished it?

Good Night and Vegetarian
@ 16 Jul. 2009 – 00.09:34
Late night blogging used to be a hobby that I found rather amusing some months ago.
Things are a whole lot more sensible these days.
I am meeting a friend at Govinda's which having checked it up on Google turns out to be run by Hare Krishna members, Govinda's Restaurant serves a variety of vegetarian snacks, sandwiches and beverages.

Nonsense
@ 15 Jul. 2009 – 20.25:09
I've been having quite a bit of fun making videos for YouTube recently. Today's effort was the rendition of a Nonsense Poem which I've published at my regular poetry site in 'hard print' as it were.
The video version is here -

Update
@ 11 Jul. 2009 – 16.17:14
Things are a lot better these days just as I am on the verge of leaving town. I am waiting to hear from Mike Turtle my Switzerland-based pop producer who is working on my album in October 2009. He's in London this week and we need to discuss a few things.
Alongside this I seem at last to be able to get back on with writing these little pop Piano pieces which I am gradually releasing on YouTube.
Mood: Positive.

Unfinished Business
@ 09 Jul. 2009 – 23.17:39
Another day spent waiting for people to turn up, show up, do things or generally be at the other end of a telephone when they were supposed to.
I am half looking forward to going to Edinburgh this year. Though I do feel like I have a lot of unfinished business with the first half of 2009 still.
The most constructive thing I did today was to put up a couple of new tracks on YouTube.
New Piano Solos on YouTube
