That will be the text of some A4 sheets that I will print up and hand out to a few locals outside the shopping centre while being video filmed by Mr B as it should make another good episode of Znethru on YouTube.

I could get arrested but I'm prepared to take that risk!

Have you ever put on a film to watch on the telly and there were a few adverts to watch first, but the film had such little 'presence' that you could hardly tell when it had started, and so little happened of consequence in the first ten or fifteen minutes that you hardly noticed the television was on at all. Mind you, I was doing a few computer related activities at the same time.

The way things panned out today

Today had a kind of intense vibe to it. I wonder if the atmospheric pressure just seems to go up on days like this.

Can't really think of anything mindblowing that happened today although I did go out to the parcel collection place at about 13.00 needless to say that while I was out someone called at the house. It is typical that someone should show up during the twenty minutes I am out and not during the eighteen hours that I am actually here.

I expect things to happen instantly, but what I've discovered is that the only thing that seems to happen instantly are auto-reply emails usually from email addresses that are no longer working. I've got a nice collection of those.

Today was only notable inasmuch as I have made a decision to buy an extremely expensive pen (probably from eBay).

I have whittled it down to about three choices including a Mont Blanc and a Montegrappa (a make I hadn't previously heard of).

Hopefully I will bring the sale in on budget and have a bit left over for refills - yes, it's basically a glorified biro I am getting!

99% Inspiration (for a few seconds)

I am having a purple patch of inspiration. However it is 00.30 which is not the hour normally associated with inspirational moods.

Listening to Schubert's String Quartet in A minor on CD and generally messing about on the Internet - of which there's a lot to mess about on.

It's been a fairly blah day i.e. pretty forgettable, but then that makes it quite a normal kind of day too, sort of.

Plans for the rest of 09 and 010 loom in both diary and the imagination. What will the rest of 09/010 really bring? We can't tell that just because we write a few things in the diary.

Mood now back to normal - that inspirational moment didn't last too long, did it?

An interesting dream last night.

I dreamt that I went out for drinks in a top London Hotel with Brooke Shields, Michael Jackson and my friend Mr B.

Brooke was in town, so I phoned her up and asked her if she wanted to meet up later that evening [Kind of a bit like in the film, Notting Hill]. Now the background to this is that I went out with a Brooke Shields lookalike back in the day and there was even a rumour running round the Academy that I was actually going out with Brooke Shields. I received a dinner party invitation once to J. and Brooke! Odd how these rumours blow things out of all proportion.

The rest of the dream was kind of confusing. I know that Mr B was driving my car and had difficulties parking it in central London and that Michael Jackson phoned through with some kind of half hearted excuse why he couldn't meet us that night.

So there were just three of us in the hotel in the end. I think I had a bloody Mary, Mr B had some kind of Whiskey and Brooke Shields was drinking something pretty light with Coke.

The rest of the evening was rather blurred possibly due to the alcohol, and then I woke up.

The day that followed bore no resemblance to the dream.

I'd like to thank those of you who took the trouble to wish me a happy birthday.

I spent the evening watching a rather offbeat eccentric film "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" at the Phoenix, Finchley.

I am not sure whether to recommend this film or not as although I really enjoyed it at the time it would definitely not be to everyone's taste.

I have a nice collection of birthday cards which might just be out of single figures.

The birthday is almost a distant memory now, but at least there's Xmas and the New Year to look forwards to. I'm still voting for 2010!

This week I've had flu (or something like it) not that that's an excuse not to bolge.

Nothing much has happened for the last few weeks, however, exciting things are afoot with the Switzerland project. I should be able to announce iTunes details of that pretty soon. Hopefully to be backed up by some airplay.

I am also deciding where to go on holiday at the end of the year. I prefer cold places to warm, so possibly Iceland (the country not the shop).

Still haven't worked out what my next project will be, but I think it will be a collaboration of some sort. Doing creative work alone is a pretty thankless task.

Virtually nothing happened today (which is not unremarkable enough in and of itself, especially all things considered).

I've been looking for something 'cutting edge' tonight without very much success.

The new project

Well it's October 1st not that any guns have gone off to celebrate this fact.

I am still at the start of a new project and haven't yet decided what this project will actually be.

I'd like it to be something I can really get stuck into, but I'm going through a phase where I literally think that everything has been done already (more or less).

Does this mark a line in the sand for artists everywhere?

Things are going well with the Switzerland project and my tracks will be on iTunes within a couple of months - probably some on YouTube as well.

Today I tried to research European Radio Stations. Ideally I need to find a website that has contact emails for stations. If I can't find this it is going to be a difficult task indeed to reach the right contacts.[If anyone can find a site for me it would be helpful].

I'm also intending to write to a few record companies.

I can't exactly categorise the music I'm working on as it obviously has Classical influences and some New Age touches it's also more or less in a pop/rock form. I suppose each listener will define the category that they think it's in.

My producer, Mike Turtle is very excited about the project and we are recording with singer, Jessica Knoll next month (although some of the tracks are purely instrumentals).

Pen and Ink

I am going to Ryman's tomorrow to buy a Papermate pen that takes refills as well as a rollerball (don't know too much about these).

I also have a Parker pen here that needs a refill. And finally a Waterman fountain pen that needs a bit of TLC before it's going to start behaving itself again. Mr B gave me a couple of pointers that might work.

Earlier today I thought I'd cracked the meaning of life. After that I got a bit tired and dozed off for a while.

I notice in the news that three men who plotted to blow up transatlantic flights with liquid bombs will receive minimum jail terms of between 32 and 40 years.

I hope they've caught the right folks this time - even so, the sentences seem a little harsh. You would have thought that they could educate them in the ways of peaceful Western Civilization in 10 to 15 years.

Oh, and I had a friend for lunch. We went to Caffe Nero and discussed metaphysics and the Speed of Sound.

Apart from that, the day was somewhat more than usual compared to other 24 hour periods.

Mahler 4 on BBC2 tonight

The audience applauded after the first movement of the Symphony. This practise had died out for about 50 years or so, and is still pretty rare today. Usually the applause is saved up to the very end of the Symphony.

I think the audience were enjoying the performance so much that they wanted to show their appreciation of the inclusion of this work in the concert repertoire.
